“Mr. Sunshine” teams up with custom designer to develop glitzy and glamourous trio of slippers

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC – March 1, 2019 – From Hamptons beach parties to Los Angeles film premieres, Vince Guzzo makes a lasting impression with his bold style choices wherever he goes. Now, in the interest of sharing his quirky style with select fans Guzzo, the President and CEO of Guzzo Cinemas and the newest Dragon on CBC’s Dragons’ Den, announces the release of a line of custom designed slippers with Palm Beach-based design house, Stubbs & Wootton. The chic footwear offering is inspired by Guzzo’s “Mr. Sunshine” persona and will be made available on www.MrSunshine.com/shop in limited quantities.

The serial entrepreneur debuted the luxurious loafers at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 10, 2019, which he attended with fellow Dragon Michele Romanow, in addition to friends and family. All three styles have a black base while featuring different iterations of the “Mr. Sunshine” branding including the iconic yellow flower Guzzo wears daily. The lavish slippers, available for women and men, will be priced accordingly, ranging from $579-$599.

The idea for the collaboration came from Guzzo himself, whose been called the most fashion-forward Dragon and has long been passionate about keeping up with modern trends and styles.

“The idea was borne out of my love of fashion and I was thrilled to find a partner in Stubbs & Wootton that I’ve admired for some time and who have long been known for making an elegant and dependable product,” said Guzzo. “At the same time, it’s meant to be fun and expressive, and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to share a little bit of the Mr. Sunshine flare with my wonderful fan base.”

Stubbs & Wootton is an iconic brand in the world of luxury footwear, being adorned by larger-than-life celebrities from Kanye West to Lady Gaga since it launched in 1993. The company, which borrows its name from 18th century English artists George Stubbs and John Wootton, pushes the boundaries of footwear beyond mere elegance, making the product a perfect first foray into custom-designed fashion for Guzzo and those of his fans whose Dragon-sized personalities resemble his own.

The slipper release is just the first in what will be a series of unique Mr. Sunshine-themed collaborations launched by the formidable Dragon, all of which will be made available on www.MrSunshine.com. From Thom Browne to Gucci, Guzzo’s eclectic wardrobe continues to make him a fashion icon across Canada, leaving audiences far and wide wondering what memorable outfit the Quebec-based entrepreneur will model next.

The slipper release comes after a busy year for Guzzo, which saw him join the cast of Dragons’ Den, begin to develop western expansion plans for his chain of cinemas and continue to operate his robust portfolio of businesses spanning from fine dining to construction and philanthropy.

Vincenzo (Vince) Guzzo owns and operates Guzzo Cinemas, the largest chain of independent movie theatres in Quebec with ten locations province-wide. Additionally, the Montreal-based entrepreneur runs a chain of fine dining restaurants and a thriving construction company. In 2007 he and his wife, Maria, established the Guzzo Foundation to centralize their philanthropic endeavours, through which they have raised millions of dollars to support medical research aimed at the prevention of cancer and the support of mental health initiatives. He recently joined CBC’s Dragons’ Den as its newest Dragon for the program’s 13th season.
