Cinéma Méga-Plex Saint-Jean 12, which opens December 17, will feature twelve state-of-the-art screens, a restaurant opening in spring 2022, an arcade and more!

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC – (December 15, 2021) – Vincenzo Guzzo, President and CEO of Cinémas Guzzo and “Dragon” on CBC’s entrepreneurship-focused show, Dragons’ Den, is pleased to announce the much-awaited official opening of his 10th movie theatre in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, on Friday, December 17, 2021. The driven entrepreneur owns the largest chain of independent movie theatres and IMAX screens in Quebec and the third largest in Canada.

The Cinéma Méga-Plex Saint-Jean 12 will be more than a movie theatre, featuring a Guzzo-owned Giulietta Pizzeria (opening spring 2022,) as well as an arcade space including a carousel and bumper cars. Furthermore, the complex’s twelve state-of-the-art screens equipped with laser projectors will give moviegoers the ultimate viewing experience.

Mr. Guzzo believes that now, more than ever, consumers are driven by personalized experiences – the ethos of Cinémas Guzzo. “Our newest movie theatre, located approximately 40 KM south of Montréal, is an entertainment destination offering something for all. It’s an integrated environment, spanning movie watching, game playing and dinning at my restaurant chain, Giulietta Pizzeria,” stated Mr. Guzzo.

Mr. Guzzo’s continued industry success is a strong example of how looking to complementary industries can foster innovation and growth, thus enabling the movie veteran to expand the traditional theatre model into one that puts customer experience at the forefront. Mr. Guzzo intends to replicate his in-theatre experience across North America, adapting to the everchanging needs of the industry and turning the notion of ‘a night at the movies’ into an entertainment experience for the entire family.
