Garnica Appoints Jonathan Martínez as Chief Human Resources Officer
Logroño, Spain, February 5, 2026 — Garnica, a leading manufacturer of premium sustainable plywood, recently announced the appointment of Jonathan Martínez as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). He has been part of Garnica’s leadership team since 2021.
As CHRO, he is responsible for aligning talent and organizational development with Garnica’s long-term strategy, supporting sustainable growth, and strengthening the company’s corporate culture across all operations.
With over 20 years of experience in human resources, Jonathan has built his career across several industrial sectors including packaging, automotive, recycling, and the paper industry. He has also led HR functions in large production plants, managed multi-site operations, and contributed to international industrial projects and growth initiatives.

Martínez holds a Law degree and a Master’s in Human Resources and Occupational Risk Prevention, with specializations in Safety, Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Psychosociology. He also completed an Executive MBA at ESIC Business & Marketing School in Zaragoza.
As Chief Human Resources Officer, Martínez will focus on operational excellence in people management, talent development, workplace improvement, and supporting Garnica’s strategic and transformation initiatives.
